Vision Statement

To be a World class department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering that produces well-rounded graduates in learning and character through providing professional education that ensures that the graduates are academically sound.
 

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to contribute to the development of Nigeria and the world at large by:

• Offering relevant academic programmes in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering

• Producing sound graduates who meet up with the state-of-the-art of the Engineering profession

• Conducting research and applying knowledge to stimulate socio-economic growth

• Partnering with stake holders in the community to achieve sustainable development goals

• Being quality driven  and student centered

• Providing an enabling environment for staff welfare and development.

Faculty Essential Units

In addition to the 10 departments currently in the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, some essential units exist in the faculty which include the Equipment and Maintenance Centre (EMC) which primarily provides services on installations, repairs and maintenance of electronics, household and general laboratory equipment. Since its establishment, it had been overseen by two previous technical heads Prof. I. O. Ohijeagbon and Engr. F. Eric. In addition, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers Consultancy Offices duly registered with the corporate affairs commission (CAC) as Faculty of Engineering and Technology University of Ilorin Services (FETUILS) which has seen to the operation of FETUILS Car Service Centre and FETUILS TechHub with further expansion in view. At FETUILS Car Service Centre, the faculty renders services on trainings, car diagnostics, repairs and maintenance while FETUILS TechHub oversees training in tech skill acquisition, employability skills, coworking space, ideas incubation, innovation and serves as a general Engineering Centre for various IT related services.
